The organization filed a breach notification with the Maine Attorney General's office on November 14, 2025, reporting that the security incident was discovered on August 28, 2025. The investigation concluded that unauthorized actors had maintained access to files stored on AIPAC systems from October 20, 2024, through February 6, 2025.
AIPAC says that the compromise involved a third-party company. The organization did not name the vendor or service. The exposed data included:

The organization began notifying affected individuals on November 13, 2025, through electronic communication. AIPAC is providing complimentary identity protection services for a twelve-month period, which includes credit monitoring, monitoring for dark web exposure, a one million dollar insurance reimbursement policy to cover potential identity theft losses, and fully managed identity recovery support services.
