Opaxe Pty Ltd, an Australian firm specializing in software and information services for the mining and minerals industry, is reportedly the victim of a cyberattack. The threat actor, identified as "Tanaka," claims to have breached the company’s sensitive data, impacting 16,000 users.

Tanaka posted on BreachForums, a dark web marketplace, asserting that they had successfully exfiltrated Opaxe’s database. The breach supposedly includes detailed personal identifiable information (PII) of users. The hacker is offering the breached information over 5.5 million rows in the SQL database. Exposed data is claimed to include:

  • User ID
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email
  • Hashed Passwords
  • Industry
  • Company
  • Job Title

Opaxe has not confirmed the breach. No other details were disclosed by the company or the hacker.
