Alltrust reports data breach exposing Social Security Numbers

Valsoft Corporation Inc. d/b/a AllTrust ("Alltrust") is reporting a data breach affecting an undisclosed number of consumers. The incident, which occurred at Alltrust's subsidiary Aspire USA, LLC ("Aspire"), resulted in unauthorized access to highly sensitive personal information.
Valsoft Corporation Inc. d/b/a AllTrust is a software acquisition and investment firm based in Montreal, Canada. The company specializes in acquiring and developing vertical market software companies across various industries, including transportation, healthcare, hospitality, and manufacturing.
On February 14, 2024, Alltrust detected unusual activity on Aspire's computer network. The company's IT team identified and halted an ongoing file transfer, locked down the network and launched an investigation with assistance from third-party cybersecurity experts.
The investigation confirmed that an unauthorized party had accessed Aspire's network between February 12, 2024, and February 15, 2024. During this period, certain files containing confidential consumer information were exfiltrated from the system. The compromised information includes:
- Names
- Social Security numbers
- Driver's license numbers
- Financial account information
The number of affected individuals and the nature of the attack are not disclosed. Update - as of 13th of May 2025, Aspire reports that the incident exposed the personal information of over 161,000 individuals.
On February 27, 2025, Alltrust began sending data breach notification letters to all affected individuals.
