Alogent Holdings, Inc. ("Alogent") reported a data breach notice cause by the security vulnerability in MOVEit, a file-transfer application. Alogent is a software company headquartered Georgia that specializes in providing payment automation services and digital banking solutions .

This breach allowed an unauthorized party to access sensitive consumer information, including

  • names,
  • account
  • routing numbers,
  • addresses,
  • phone numbers,
  • check details,
  • remittance amounts.

The compromised data specifically pertained to checks processed through Huntington Bank, one of Alogent's clients. A total of 454,385 individuals have been exposed by the breach.

Alogent stopped using MOVEit software immediately after the breach.

Following an investigation, Alogent began sending breach notification letters to impacted individuals, aiming to provide them with an understanding of the risk and potential protective measures.
