The National Authority for Electronic Certification and Cyber Security (AKCESK) in Albania has reported cyber attacks targeting the Assembly of the Republic of Albania and the telecommunications company, One Albania. One Albania confirmed on Facebook that their services, including mobile, landline, and IPTV, continued to function normally. They expressed their commitment to transparency and ongoing collaboration with AKEP and AKCESK to ensure service and data integrity.

AKCESK is aiding the affected institutions, emphasizing the critical nature of the targeted infrastructure. The agency, which was alerted to the attacks on December 25, is working with international partners for a thorough analysis of the attack's impact. AKCESK has shared their preliminary findings with other critical infrastructures to prevent similar attacks.

The investigation suggests that the attack originated from outside Albania. No details are available about the nature of the attack or any impact.

Hacker News reported that the Iranian hacker group Homeland Justice claimed responsibility for these attacks on its Telegram channel, and have also claimed to have hacked Air Albania.
