On May 8, 2024, Bridgeway Center, Inc. (“Bridgeway”), a non-profit health and human services provider based in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, reported a data breach. The incident was caused by an unauthorized party gaining access to Bridgeway’s computer network and compromising the sensitive information of its consumers.
Suspicious activity was first identified on February 22, 2024. Bridgeway secured its network and collaborated with third-party cybersecurity experts to investigate the breach. The investigation concluded that unauthorized access occurred between February 21, 2024, and February 23, 2024. A review of the compromised files was completed by April 22, 2024.

- Driver's license numbers
- Military identification numbers
- Dates of birth
- Medical information

On May 8, 2024, Bridgeway began dispatching data breach notification letters to all affected individuals.Bridgeway advises affected individuals to remain vigilant against potential fraud by regularly check bank and credit accounts for unusual activity, obtain free credit reports through annualcreditreport.com and contacting Equifax, Experian, or TransUnion to place a fraud alert or credit freeze.
