The Salvation Army USA, one of the world's largest Christian charitable organizations, has become the target of alleged cyberattack claims by the Chaos ransomware group.

The ransomware gang claimed the breach on the dark web in late March 2025, threatening that stolen data would be released soon if ransom demands were not met.

The post claiming the Salvation Army breach was first spotted on March 28, 2025. Chaos has not provided details on what type of data was allegedly stolen or how many individuals are impacted.

Despite the claim that data will be released soon, so far no or sensitive data has been leaked by the gang.
