Calibrated Healthcare, LLC reports a data breach following the discovery that an unauthorized individual had accessed certain files on its computer network.
Calibrated Healthcare, founded in 2007 and based in Los Angeles, California, provides administrative and clinical healthcare services to various entities across the United States, including health plans, health systems, MSOs, third-party administrators, and independent practice associations.
The company detected unusual activity within its computer network on February 26, 2024. They took its systems offline and initiated an investigation. The investigation revealed that the unauthorized access occurred between February 25, 2024, and February 26, 2024, during which the unauthorized party may have accessed and copied files containing confidential consumer information.
The breach resulted in the exposure of sensitive consumer information, including:
- Names
- Social Security numbers
- Dates of birth
- Medical diagnoses and treatment information
- Health insurance information
- Driver’s license numbers
The nature of the attack and the number of affected individuals is not disclosed.
Calibrated Healthcare began notifying all individuals affected by the breach via data breach notification letters.
