Barrick Gold Corp., one of the world's largest gold and copper miners based in Toronto, has been listed as a victim of the Clop/Cl0p ransomware and data theft gang who exploited the MOVEit vulnerability to steal data from over 190 organizations worldwide.

As of now, there has been no response from Barrick's CEO or their press spokesperson regarding the incident, nor details of the leaked data or impacted individuals

Barrick Gold, recognized as the largest gold producer in the United States, recorded net earnings of US$432 million from its sales totaling US$5.6 billion in the previous fiscal year. The company operates 15 gold mines and three copper mines spread across 12 countries.
