The attack occurred on Sunday, 10th of November and lasted for one hour. According to Hyp Credit Guard, no personal or financial data was compromised during the incident. The attack only affected communication between card terminals and payment systems.

Media reports that Iran-linked hacker group claimed responsibility. The attack is suspected to be connected to ongoing military operations in Gaza and Lebanon.
