It operates the Delta Regional Medical Center, which serves communities across Mississippi, Arkansas, and Tennessee, offering services such as emergency care, outpatient rehabilitation, surgery, and various specialty medical treatments/
The breach was discovered on January 21, 2024, when Delta Health detected unusual activity in its network. The healthcare provider began working with third-party cybersecurity specialists to investigate the scope of the incident. The investigation revealed that the unauthorized access occurred between January 15, 2024, and January 21, 2024, during which confidential patient information was exposed.
The compromised data includes:

- Addresses
- Phone numbers
- Email addresses
- Dates of birth
- Social Security Numbers
- Driver’s license numbers
- State ID numbers
- Financial account information
- Medical information
- Health insurance information
The nature of the attack and the number of affected individuals are not disclosed.
Delta Health System began sending out data breach notification letters, first on March 20, 2024, and again on September 5, 2024, to ensure all impacted individuals were informed.
