DragonForce ransomware group has claimed responsiblity for a breach of the New Zealand online horse racing platform EvoEvents.
On June 8, 2024, DragonForce listed Hamilton-based EvoEvents on its dark web leak site, alleging that it had exfiltrated 6.14 gigabytes of data. The group did not specify the nature of the stolen data, leaving the legitimacy of the claims uncertain.
DragonForce has threatened to publish the stolen data on July 5, 2024, if the breach claims are valid. So far EvoEvents has not commented on these claims.
