Eisner's Minneapolis office has confirmed that the company detected suspicious activity related to certain information in its possession in September 2023. The investigation confirmed that an unauthorized party had accessed the company's network between September 4, 2023, and September 23, 2023, gaining access to files containing confidential consumer information.
Despite discovering the breach in September 2023, EisnerAmper only completed its review of the compromised files in February 2025.
The compromised information potentially includes:
- Full names
- Social Security numbers
- Driver's license or state identification information
- Financial account information
- Dates of birth
- Medical information
- Health insurance information
The nature of the attack and the exact number of affected individuals has not been disclosed.
The company began notifying affected individuals on April 8, 2025—approximately 18 months after the initial breach.
