The Everest ransomware group claims they breached McDonald's India systems and stole 861 GB of data. The group posted the claim on their dark web leak site on January 20, 2026 and gave the company a deadline to respond or they will leak the files publicly. 

McDonald's India has not confirmed the attack. The company operates through two partners: Connaught Plaza Restaurants and Hardcastle Restaurants.

The stolen data reportedly includes:

  • Internal company documents
  • Customer personal data
  • Personal documents of clients
  • Internal records and sensitive files

The number of allegedly affected individuals is not disclosed. The company has not confirmed the attack and there is no posted evidence to verify the claims.
