A major data breach at Game Freak, the studio behind the Pokémon franchise, has resulted in the leak of several crucial pieces of information regarding upcoming Pokémon games and other projects in development. According to CentroLeaks, a Pokémon leaker, the breach has led to the community sifting through large amounts of data to uncover the following key points:

Pokémon Generation 10 - Game Freak is actively developing the 10th generation of Pokémon games, codenamed "Gaia". The game is reportedly being developed for both the Nintendo Switch and its successor, referred to as the Switch 2 (codename "Ounce").

The leak revealed the internal codename for the Switch 2 as "Ounce", aligning with the development of Pokémon Gen 10 for both this new system and the current Nintendo Switch.

Another unannounced Pokémon game, codenamed "Synapse", is in development, reportedly in collaboration with ILCA (the studio that worked on Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl). It appears to be a multiplayer battle-focused game with some leakers describing it as having "Splatoon-like" elements, though the exact details remain unclear.

The leak also contained source codes and beta builds for older Pokémon games, including HeartGold/SoulSilver and Black/White 2.

No details are disclosed about the nature of the attack or any PII or individuals affected by the breach.
