Gilroy Gardens, a theme park in the San Francisco Bay Area, reports that it was targeted by a ransomware attack on February 11th 2024.
The attack effectively locked out all on-site servers and machines, including its ticketing system. Sensitive customer information, such as names and credit card details, is stored in the ticketing system, raising concerns over the potential for a significant data breach.
Gilroy Gardens has reported, based on assessments by the FBI and third-party security experts, that there is no current evidence to suggest any customer data was breached or stolen.
The theme park has stated that it will proactively reach out to customers should there be any change in the assessment of the data's security.
