Global Louis Vuitton data breach extends into Australia

Louis Vuitton is reporting another impacted country in the global breach discovered on July 2, 2025.
After UK, Turkey, South Korea and Hong Kong, LVMH is now reporting that customers from Australia are also impacted.
The attack was executed through a compromised service account belonging to the administrator of a third-party service provider. Exposed data includes:
- Customer names (first and last names)
- Contact information (email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses)
- Dates of birth
- Gender information
- Country of residence
- Purchase history and transaction records
- Personal shopping preferences and product preferences
The number of affected individuals in Australia is not disclosed.
The company notified Australian customers via email nearly three weeks after the initial discovery, informing them that an "unauthorized third party temporarily accessed our system and obtained some of your information."
Australian privacy regulators and cybersecurity authorities have been notified of the breach.
