Health Service Ireland (HSE) is another victim to the recent MOVEit vulnerability and supply chain cyber attack
HSE has been working on a professional services partnership EY to automate its recruitment process using MOVEit's software. This instance of MOVEit was impacted by the attack, leading to a data breach.
HSE conducted an investigation and determined that no more than 20 individuals involved in the recruitment process were affected, with potential access to their:
- names,
- addresses,
- mobile numbers,
- positions,
- general job role information,
No other personal or financial data was compromised.
HSE is working closely with the Irish Data Protection Commission (DPC) and relevant authorities, and efforts are underway to notify the affected individuals.
