On 27th October, 2023, a data breach was reported by ITW Food Equipment Group LLC after the company discovered that an unauthorized entity had accessed their computer system.
ITW identified a possible data security threat and through a subsequent investigation, it confirmed that from June 13 to June 26, 2023, an unauthorized entity managed to access ITW's computer network. This unauthorized access resulted in the extraction of certain information from the company’s IT system, which included confidential consumer data.
Unfortunately, ITW has not disclosed any details about the exposed data, number of affected individuals or the nature of the attack.
On October 27, 2023, the company sent out data breach letters to all affected individuals, outlining the specifics of the data related to them that was compromised.
