LCPtracker reports data breach

LCPtracker, Inc., a California-based HR software company specializing in construction industry solutions, reports a cybersecurity incident that occurred in August 2024. The breach was discovered on August 20, 2024, when suspicious activity was detected within the company's online storage account environment. The unauthorized access period was identified between August 14 and August 20, 2024.

During the incident, external actors successfully accessed and exfiltrated confidential consumer information from the company's network. LCPtracker launched an investigation with assistance from third-party cybersecurity experts to determine the scope and impact of the breach.

The nature of the attack, number of affected individuals and specific types of exposed data have not been publicly disclosed.

The company reviewed compromised files to identify affected individuals, filed a notice of data breach with the California Attorney General on November 22, 2024 and began sending personalized notification letters to affected individuals
