Namibia Airports Company Targeted by INC Ransomware Group

The Namibia Airports Company (NAC), the national operator of airport terminals in Namibia, confirmed a ransomware incident first detected on March 6, 2026.

The INC ransomware group claimed responsibility  for the incident on March 19, 2026, stating they stole 500 GB of sensitive data. 

Attackers gained access to the organization's network infrastructure and administrative accounts. The hackers claim the compromised data includes:

  • Financial records
  • Human resources information
  • Customer data
  • Contact details

The number of affected individuals is not disclosed. NAC officials have not confirmed the data has been stolen data. The company is collaborating with the Namibia Cyber Security Incident Response Team (Nam-CSIRT) and external forensic specialists to analyze the breach.

Airport operations across all NAC-managed facilities were not disrupted by the cyberattack.
