The Northern Nevada Medical Center has issued a warning about a potential data breach following a ransomware attack on ESO Solutions, a Texas-based data and software provider for emergency medical services for Northern Nevada Medical Center.
The breach, first detected on September 28, 2023, exposed varying personal information, including:
- names,
- phone numbers,
- addresses,
- sensitive health data.
As of now, there's no evidence of misuse of the exposed information. Affected individuals were notified by ESO Solutions and Northern Nevada Medical Center, who began mailing letters on December 12, 2023.
Those potentially affected are advised to monitor their accounts and credit history for suspicious activities and can contact ESO Solutions' helpline for further information or to confirm if their data was compromised.
