NortonLifeLock impacted by MOVEit Vulnerability

NortonLifeLock, an identity theft prevention software vendor, has reportedly fallen victim to a cyberattack by the exploitation of the MOVEit vulnerability in Progress' MOVEit MFT solution.

The hackers used the vulnerability to gain unauthorized access to the company's networks. Along with over 80 other companies, NortonLifeLock was listed on Cl0p's Darknet leak site.

The Darknet note did not mention any negotiation details, suggesting NortonLifeLock's response is unknown, but the typical negotiation period can span several weeks if the company is willing to discuss a ransom payment.
