NSC Technologies reports data breach impacting over 48k individuals

NSC Technologies, a staffing agency with a niche focus on recruitment for the marine, oil, and engineering sectors has reported a cyberattack that compromised their IT network, resulting in unauthorized access to sensitive consumer information.

The attack impacted, specifically names and Social Security numbers. The initial signs of this security compromise were observed on June 26, 2023, when NSC Technologies noted suspicious activity on their network. Subsequent investigations revealed that on June 19 and June 20, an attacker had infiltrated the network and accessed files containing confidential information.

NSC Technologies has enhanced their security measures and began an in-depth investigation with the help of external cybersecurity experts. The investigation confirmed that over 48,000 individuals were impacted by this attack.

Unfortunately, no details are disclosed about the nature of the attack.

Upon verifying the details of the breach, NSC Technologies proceeded to notify the affected individuals through data breach notification letters, which included information about the leaked data pertaining to each individual.
