One Point HR Solutions reports data breach

One Point HR Solutions, Inc. (“One Point”) is reporting a data breach after discovering that an unauthorized actor had gained prolonged access to its computer network.

The breach lasted for more than seven months, spanning from July 3, 2023, to February 14, 2024, and involved unauthorized access to sensitive consumer information contained within compromised email accounts.

One Point identified suspicious activity within its email system, prompting an internal investigation aided by third-party cybersecurity experts. The investigation confirmed that several company email accounts were accessed during the breach, some of which contained confidential consumer information in emails and attachments.

One Point did not specify the types of data that may have been compromised or the number of affected individuals. One Point claims they are still reviewing the extent of the leaked data and determining which individuals were affected. Given that it's an HR service company, the breach could involve personal and sensitive information.
