Panda Restaurant Group, a conglomerate including dining chains like Panda Express, Panda Inn, and Hibachi-San is reporting a data breach following a cyberattack on its corporate systems. On March 10, 2024 the company discovered unauthorized access to certain corporate systems targeting current and former associate data.

Per the statement from Panda Restaurant, customer data remained secure. Their teams secured the compromised systems and collaborated with cybersecurity experts and law enforcement to trace and assess the extent of the intrusion.

The investigation revealed that between March 7 and March 11, 2024, unauthorized access was gained to the systems, leading to the potential exposure of personal information of an unspecified number of employees.

Exposed data includes names and driver’s license or non-driver identification card numbers. The exact number of affected individuals is not disclosed as well as any details about the attack.

The group claims that in-store operations and guest services were not impacted.
