Park’N Fly, a prominent airport parking service in Canada, is reporting a significant data breach affecting approximately one million customers.
The breach occurred between July 11 and July 13, 2024 and is attributed to unauthorized access through a remote VPN connection. Park’N Fly discovered the breach on August 1, 2024, and has since engaged external cybersecurity experts to assist in the investigation and strengthen their security protocols.
The investigation confirmed that the third party gained access to customer information, including:
- Names
- Email addresses
- Mailing addresses
- Aeroplan numbers (if provided)
- CAA numbers (if provided)
The company emphasized that no financial information, payment card details, or passwords were compromised during the incident.
Affected customers were notified via email on August 23, 2024, and were advised to stay vigilant against phishing attempts, such as suspicious emails or phone calls seeking personal information. Park’N Fly set up a dedicated hotline at 1-844-405-3577 for customers with questions or concerns, operating Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
