RansomHouse steals data from California hospital

Mission Community Hospital in Panorama City, California had apparently fallen victim to a ransomware attack by the hacker group RansomHouse.

They have exploited unpatched vulnerabilities in the hospital's Paragon and Cisco systems. RansomHouse claims to have 2.5 terabytes of the hospital's data and has demanded a ransom in exchange for deleting the stolen files.

The RansomHouse group also offers to provide a security repor to the hospital.

Mission Community Hospital has discovered the breach during an investigation into a network switch failure in May and has rejected the threat from RansomHouse.

There are no details available as to the real extent of the attack, the types of data stolen or the number of impacted individuals
