Salem Regional Medical Center patients are being informed about a data breach involving their medical transcription service provider, Perry Johnson & Associates (PJ&A).
This incident occurred outside the hospital's network and affected data from March 2 to May 2 this year. Patients potentially impacted by the breach are being sent letters offering free identity theft protection services, with a signup deadline of February 14, 2024.
Although PJ&A has not detected any fraud or identity theft resulting from the incident, the leaked information may include:
