Selman & Company (“SelmanCo”) is reporting a data breach at PAS-SG, operating as PAS Hosting (“PAS”) that compromised sensitive information of certain SelmanCo customers.
Selman & Company, headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, is a prominent administrator of life and supplemental health insurance policies, primarily serving the insurance industry.
PAS first detected unauthorized access to its systems on August 15, 2024, when it identified that a third party may have acquired files from its computer network. PAS initiated an investigation to assess the scope and nature of the breach. By September 13, 2024, PAS had completed its investigation and informed SelmanCo of the specific files and types of data that were accessed.
The types of data stolen and the number of affected individuals is not disclosed.
As part of the remediation process, SelmanCo distributed data breach notification letters on November 4, 2024, to all individuals whose information may have been compromised.
