Southern Bone & Joint Specialists (SBJS), a medical practice based in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, is reporting a cybersecurity incident that potentially compromised the protected health information (PHI) of 7,162 individuals.
Suspicious activity was detected in the practice's email environment on May 7, 2024. An investigation revealed that an unauthorized actor had accessed certain files and data stored within the practice's email environment.
SBJS claims that there is currently no evidence that the compromised information has been misused.
