Star Solution Services, Inc. is reporting a data security incident that was initially detected on March 11, 2024, when suspicious activity was observed in their network.
The investigation, conducted with third-party forensic specialists, confirmed that an unauthorized actor had access to their systems between March 10 and March 14, 2024, and stole files containing sensitive information. The breach affected 27,717 individuals. Exposed data includes:
- Names
- Social Security numbers
- Date of birth (mentioned in legal notice)
The nature of the attack is not disclosed.
On February 5, 2025 Star Solution Services and began notifying affected individuals via mail. They are offering affected individuals 12 months of Single Bureau credit monitoring, credit report access, credit score services and proactive fraud assistance through Cyberscout.
