Taiwan has possibly been impacted by a significant cybersecurity incident involving a data breach that targeted its telecom, military and other national security sectors.
The breach was reported by the local broadcaster TVBS, which revealed that hackers managed to obtain sensitive documents from Chunghwa Telecom, Taiwan's largest telecom operator, as well as key Taiwanese national security units, including the military and the Foreign Ministry.

The company assured that the breach has not significantly impacted its operations and pledged to enhance its cybersecurity measures.
As of the report, responses from Taiwan's Defence Ministry and Digital Ministry to the incident are pending. No other details have been published about the breach and nature of the attack.
