Learn More
The Trumbull County Auditor's Office is reporting a potential data security incident originating from a third-party vendor. The vendor, which provides a "small set of services" to one of the county offices, alerted the county to a potential security breach.
The potential breach is linked to a ransomware attack targeting the county's third-party vendor, C Systems Software. This incident disrupted the county's ability to process real estate transactions and access certain property records, as the vendor manages the software for these functions. The attack forced several county offices, including the Auditor's and Treasurer's offices, to revert to manual, paper-based processes, causing significant delays in services, particularly for property transfers and title searches.
