Umpqua Bank, headquartered in Oregon, is notifying its customers about a recent data breach. The bank has stated that this breach is related to the MOVEit vulnerability cyberattack.

Umpqua Bank confirmed that it is one of numerous government agencies, large corporations, and enterprises worldwide that have been affected by the MOVEit file transfer vulnerability. The bank took immediate action upon discovering the vulnerability to ensure the security of its systems and protect customer data.

Additionally, Umpqua Bank initiated a comprehensive investigation to assess the extent of its potential exposure, as well as the exposure of its vendors. Although the internal and vendor investigations are still ongoing, there is currently no evidence of unauthorized access to customer data.
