Ardent Health Services, representing UT Health Tyler, has issued a notification to certain individuals about their personal data being involved a cybersecurity incident. The incident, identified as a ransomware attack, was discovered on November 23, 2023, and affected Ardent's network.
Ardent discovered that an unauthorized entity had extracted document copies containing sensitive personal information. This information includes:
- patient contact details,
- Social Security numbers,
- medical treatment data (provider names, service dates, diagnoses, prescriptions)
- ealth insurance and claims information,
- Medicaid/Medicare numbers.
No details are disclosed about the number of affected individuals.
