Wan Hai Lines, Taiwan's 11th largest container shipping company, reports that its website was taken offline on Friday 19th of April 2025 following a cyberattack.
Wan Hai Lines isolated the affected website and engaged external cybersecurity firms and experts to assist with incident response and reported the incident to the authorities.
The website appears to have been restored to normal operation, and Wan Hai Lines has committed to continuing enhancement of security checks across its network and information infrastructure to prevent future incidents.
The nature of the attack, types of exposed data and number of affected individuals is not disclosed
The company claims that the attack had no significant impact on its operational capabilities and that the attack did not breach internal systems or employee information.
