The impact of the attack, including lost production and backorders, is expected to extend into at least the third quarter.
The company stated that it has made significant progress in restoring system functionality and restarting operations at affected facilities. Most of its global manufacturing and distribution facilities are now operational.
Brunswick has not confirmed whether the incident involved a ransomware attack, but the indicators of disrupted operations lead to the conclusion of a massive ransomware attack.
