Cleveland County Sheriff's Office in Oklahoma hit by ransomware attack

The Cleveland County Sheriff's Office in Oklahoma reports on that it was impacted by a ransomware attack affecting portions of its internal computer system. 

Cleveland County, located approximately 20 minutes south of Oklahoma City in the state's metropolitan area, is Oklahoma's third-most populous county with approximately 296,000 residents.

Officials claim that the incident has not disrupted critical public safety operations, and 911 emergency services remaining fully operational.

County information technology staff are actively working to restore the affected systems. No other details about the attack or any exposed data is disclosed. 

Residents are being urged to continue using 911 for emergencies and to monitor official county channels for further updates as the investigation and system restoration efforts progress.
