Conner Strong & Buckelew Companies, LLC (CSB) has reported a data breach after discovering that an unauthorized party gained access to confidential consumer data stored in certain employee email accounts.

The breach specifically involved unauthorized access to consumer names and Social Security numbers. Upon confirming the data leakage, CSB initiated the process of sending data breach notification letters to all individuals affected by the security incident.

It's esimated that over 15,000 individuals are impacted by this incident.

CSB identified suspicious activity within certain employee email accounts and promptly secured those accounts. Collaborating with third-party data security specialists, CSB initiated an investigation to gather more details about the incident and determine if consumer data had been compromised.

The investigation revealed that unauthorized access to CSB employees' email accounts occurred between February 7, 2022, and March 30, 2022. Consequently, the unauthorized party had access to confidential information contained in emails and attachments.

On June 26, 2023, Conner Strong & Buckelew initiated the process of sending data breach letters to all individuals whose information was compromised in the recent security incident.
