Emerald Financial Services, LLC operates as a subsidiary of H&R Block, a significant accounting and tax-preparation entity based in Kansas City, Missouri. The company issues cards that are then managed by a third-party vendor, Pathward, who is the issuer of H&R Block Emerald Cards. Aafter issuance, Emerald Financial manages the account.
The data breach has impacted the MOVEit server used by Pathward, but has not impacted the computer networks of Pathward or Emerald Financial Services.
