Loyola University Maryland is reporting a data breach that potentially exposed sensitive personal information of individuals associated with the institution. Loyola University Maryland is a private Jesuit university established in 1852 in Baltimore, Maryland. The institution offers undergraduate and graduate programs across various disciplines through its three schools: the Loyola College of Arts and Sciences, the School of Education, and the Sellinger School of Business and Management.
Loyola discovered an unauthorized access to portions of its computer network. The investigation into the breach revealed that the unauthorized access occurred between July 19, 2024, and July 25, 2024.
On January 30, 2025, the investigation confirmed that an unauthorized party had indeed accessed. The compromised data includes:
