Lynx ransomware gang has claimed responsibility for a cyberattack against WDEF-TV (Channel 12), a CBS-affiliated television station serving Chattanooga, Tennessee, and surrounding areas in Georgia and Alabama.
The threat actor added the television station to its dark web leak site on May 1, 2025.. Specific information about the alleged compromised data is limited. Lynx has published samples on their leak site that appear to include a confidential agreement with a network employee.
The station, which is owned by Morris Multimedia, has not yet acknowledged the attack or responded to media inquiries about the incident.
