The company has advised clients to actively monitor their accounts, report any suspicious activity to their Banks, and change passwords for all their accounts.
Mayberry has confirmed that a security breach occurred on their systems, compromising client data, and has engaged independent cybersecurity experts to investigate and remediate the situation.
Personal data has been stolen and some client data has appeared on the dark web, leading to concerns about the extent of the breach. The full extent of the data breach is not yet known.
Update - As of 9th June 2023, the investment firm says through its cyber experts, it now has full access to all of its data, some of which was compromised in this ransomware attack and clients have been able to conduct their business in a normal manner.
MAYBERRY Investments has refused to pay the ransom and has turned its attention to tracking persons who obtained or disclosed any data for the dumped data on the dark web, threatening with legal action.
Mayberry has implemented measures to enhance cybersecurity, enforce password resets, communicate directly with clients, and minimize unauthorized use of data.
