The TEAM Companies, LLC, an entertainment industry payroll and business affairs services provider is reporting a data breach that compromised sensitive personal information of 21,936 individuals across the United States.
The company specializes in providing payroll solutions for the advertising, music, and entertainment sectors. They detected the security incident on October 22, 2025. The investigation confirmed that attackers gained access to the company's systems between July 15 and July 26, 2025 and that certain files containing personally identifiable information and protected health information were accessible to the attackers. The exposed data includes:
- Names
- Physical addresses
- Dates of birth
- Government-issued identification numbers (such as Social Security numbers and driver's license numbers)
- Financial account information
- Health information and protected health data
The nature of the attack is not disclosed. The breach was formally reported to multiple state attorneys general offices on November 21 and November 22, 2025. Affected individuals received notification letters dated November 21, 2025.
The TEAM Companies is offering all affected individuals complimentary access to comprehensive identity protection services for 24 months. The complimentary services include Single Bureau Credit Monitoring, Credit Report access, Credit Score monitoring, personal data monitoring on the dark web, and proactive fraud assistance.
