Prime Healthcare's reports being impacted by breach at Keenan & Associates, a third-party administrator for employee benefit health plan.
The incident that did not involve Prime Healthcare's systems nor was it a result of any actions by Prime. The incident, discovered in late August 2023, was addressed by Keenan through containment efforts and the involvement of cybersecurity and forensic experts, alongside notifying law enforcement.
The compromised data revealed that it included personal information of Prime Healthcare benefit plan members, such as:
- names,
- dates of birth,
- Social Security numbers,
- passport numbers,
- driver’s license numbers,
- health insurance details (including health plan ID numbers),
- health information (diagnosis and treatment information).
The number of affected individuals is not disclosed.
Keenan is offering affected Prime Healthcare benefit plan members a complimentary 24-month membership in Experian® IdentityWorksSM.
