The Oregon-based outdoor fence products manufacturer Jewett-Cameron was hit by a ransomware attack that resulted in the theft of sensitive corporate data, including images from video meetings and non-public financial documents.
Hackers breached the IT systems of Jewett-Cameron on October 15, 2025 and encrypted parts of the company's internal corporate infrastructure and stole data. Jewett-Cameron took affected systems offline to prevent further compromise and contain the incident.
According to the SEC filing, the threat actors stole sensitive data including:
- Images of video meetings and computer screens containing sensitive company information
- IT infrastructure information and system configurations
- Non-public financial data compiled in preparation for the annual fiscal report filing
- Other proprietary corporate information
The number of affected individuals is not disclosed.
The company acknowledged in its SEC filing that its operations have been "materially impacted" by the incident and that the breach will adversely affect financial results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2026. The investigation is still ongoing.
