Siemens Energy reports data breach related to MOVEit vulnerability exploit

Siemens Energy, a global energy company part of the Siemens conglomerate, has confirmed a data breach resulting from the exploited a zero-day vulnerability in the MOVEit Transfer platform.

The Munich-based company, specializes in industrial products, including industrial control systems, power generation units, renewable energy systems, and cybersecurity consulting services for the oil and gas industry.

While the hacker group Cl0p listed Siemens Energy on their data leak site, indicating data theft, the company asserts that no critical data was compromised and its operations were not affected.

Siemens Energy hasn't provided any details on the types or volume of data that was exposed in the data breach.
