Over 12,000 employees of the State Bank of India (SBI) fell victim to a major data breach as their personal information leaked on Telegram channels. The breached data include:

The breach was discovered after a Telegram channel with the handle @sbi_data posted a file titled "SBI Employee Data Dump," containing the sensitive data. The channel had only 608 subscribers initially but the file quickly spread to other Telegram channels and social media platforms.
The leaked data expose 12,000 employees of SBI, but there is a possibility that millions of customers may also be impacted.
No details are available as to the nature of the attack.
The threat actor responsible for the breach claimed to have access to the financial details of millions of consumers and shared screenshots of SBI account balances and recent transactions on publicly accessible leak forums. The leaked data were also offered for sale on dark web platforms.
