Cove Risk Services, a Massachusetts-based insurance firm is reporting a data breach that compromised the personal and protected health information of 49,385 individuals across the United States.
On May 5, 2025, Cove Risk Services discovered a network disruption. The investigation confirmed that unauthorized actors gained access to and possibly stole data on or around May 3, 2025. The expoded data includes:
- Names
- Dates of birth
- Social Security numbers
- Driver's license or state-issued identification numbers
- Passport numbers
- Health insurance information
- Medical information
- Financial account information
The nature of the attack is not disclosed. The company began notifying affected individuals on December 12, 2025 and is offering complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services for 12 months.
The company has also established a dedicated assistance line to address questions and provide support to those impacted.
